When the dust clears, the entirety of floor 8 from about a foot off the floor upwards is simply destroyed, the culprit gone, and the wood and some metal is falling to the ground around the building. It's almost completely splintered, so it shouldn't cause too much damage... ]

[Knuckles was about to run inside, but what if the stairwells are blocked? It would take time to did though thanks to the barrier's effect on him here.

Instead Knuckles starts climbing up the side of the building. It might not be as safe, but it will be faster which is what matters if someone's hurt up there.
