9 Black Feathers [action]

[ With the New Feather cycle still going, one might mistake the woman sitting against the fountain this afternoon in the pouring rain for a newcomer. Certainly the white dress she's discarded next to her would indicate such. But Saten's not new, just fresh back from her Mallynapping.

Initially, she doesn't have the energy to make her way even to the clothes shop. So for a good hour or two, she sits naked in the rain next to the fountain. Finally she manages to get to her feet and goes to the clothes shop, where she picks up something appropriately not white. Then she heads to CH7, where she's not quite ready to make her way up seven flights of stairs on foot. Instead she spends the rest of the day sitting against the building, because hey, she's already soaked. Once the sun goes down, she uses the darkness to slip up to her room.

... At least it's not too cold out? ]

[ Because it took a part of him. Helios doesn't say anything for a long moment. ] It-it just did.

[ He looks away, clearly uncomfortable as he shifts in his position. It's a few seconds before his green eyes look in Saten's direction. ] It...took a piece of me before it was slain.
folklorist: (I suppose that works)

[ Helios apologizes, Saten. It's a bit of a sore subject, even after all these years. He blinks at her question and shakes his head. ] I-I suppose it-it depends on the person's perspective on the matter. I. I don't find them inherently evil, I mean, I talk to and t-teach quite a few demons in my own world.

[ He smiles slightly. ] They're not as bad as everyone is made to believe from the stories and novels and things like that. I, ah, am trying to help people r-realize that actually.

R-Resent them? [ Helios sounds confused and also a bit taken aback. ]

Oh. No. Not at all. I-I have no reason to, um, resent them. Many of the demons I've met have been rather kind, if a bit misunderstood.

Ah. Y-Yes a lot of people have said as much to me before. [ He chuckles a little. His world doesn't have hostile beings. Which was strange for most, unfortunately. ]

A-And what about your own? If-if you don't mind me asking, that is.

[ Helios is almost taken aback by the frankness of the comment, but no. He was getting somewhat used to Saten's mannerisms. ]

Ah, well, I was wondering...what it was like. You have a concept of demons and the like, so I figure that it might not be too different from other worlds with such things.

O-Oh I see. That is, sadly, the case in my own world too. But...I've spoken to and know quite a good amount of demons in my own world. And, really, they aren't so bad. [ A frown. ]

I'm sorry about how perceive your kind. But...people can change. I-I like to think that if people can give them a chance, they'll see something different than what's been written about demons and about other mythica who are seen as being evil.
folklorist: (Well this is certainly a mess)

I-I don't suppose there's some sort of a-agreement you could, ah, come to? Is there?
